Mother's eye

"Mother's eye" - Demi-parure, sterling silver and Lapis Lazuli

For this design I started designing around the large stone set in the ring. It reminded me a lot of a watching eye. Which in turn reminded me of my mother, always vigilant and protective. The earrings were first designed not to have the stone hanging loose, but I found the movement added an extra dimension and stuck with it.
